Nurturing tomorrow’s music, theatre, and dance

Our Mission: Music, Theater, and Dance Professionals in the Academy (MTDPA) strives to support arts education professionals of the Global Majority to transform pedagogy, develop artistic scholarship, and cultivate leadership acumen in academic institutions.

MTDPA seeks to provide social and professional support and mentorship in the areas of Teaching, Research/Scholarship, Service, and Leadership.

MTDPA works to provide resources for the deconstruction of racist, patriarchal, and colonialist foundations, histories, and practices in theatre and performing arts pedagogy by offering global perspectives to the training of students in arts and performance.
